Happy Sunday Chargers,
🎉 The Countdown Is Over… Tomorrow Is DAY ONE, CHARGERS! 🎉
Get ready, Fulshear High School—Doors open at 7:45am! - The first day of school is HERE, and we’re welcoming back over 3,200 unstoppable Chargers, including the amazing Class of 2026 and the rising stars of the Class of 2029!
We are beyond excited to see your faces, hear your stories, and kick off a year full of growth, memories, and epic moments. This campus is buzzing with energy, and we’re ready to make this year unforgettable.
Yes, there are a few new rules and procedures to learn—but don’t worry, we’ve got your back. All we ask is that you bring your best attitude, your full cooperation, and your Charger pride. Our staff is here for YOU every single day, so let’s treat each other with respect and keep the positive vibes flowing.
We love you. We believe in you. And we’re ready to charge into this year at full speed.
Let’s make Day One legendary!
🚌🚨 Attention Bus Riders!
If you haven’t completed your transportation forms, you won’t be allowed to ride the bus during the first week of school. That means you’ll need to arrange a ride home for Week 1!
Want to ride the bus? Just fill out the required form ASAP using the link below!
We want to make sure everyone gets where they need to go safely—so don’t wait! Let’s get you on board and rolling by next week!
SCHEDULES — Know Where to Go!
🚨 On Day One, head straight to your 1st-period class—no detours!
Check your schedule in Skyward and either print it out or write it down. Due to the new Texas law, phones cannot be out, so screenshots won’t work. Be prepared before you walk through the doors!
To help you out:
- We’ve posted 1st-period class lists by grade level outside the LGI, Café, and Library.
- You’ll also receive a hard copy of your schedule in your 1st-period class.
No Schedule Changes — Unless You Qualify Under LCISD Guidelines!
Just a reminder: Every class on your schedule was selected by YOU in collaboration with your CFHS counselor (yep, even if you were at Leaman—we came to you too!). Then in April, you had another chance during the course verification window to make any adjustments.
Since then, we’ve built the master schedule around those choices. That means:
- No changes for teacher preference
- No changes to be with friends
We know change can be tempting but trust us—you’ve got this!

IDs ARE MANDATORY
Student IDs will be handed out starting the first day of school. Once you get yours, make sure it’s on and visible around your neck (top half of your body) as soon as you step on campus—every single day. It’s part of the required dress code, so don’t forget!
A replacement will cost $5, so hang onto it and wear it with pride!
📵NO PERSONAL TECH ALLOWED DURING THE ENTIRE SCHOOL DAY: HB1481 (TX LAW)
This is a big shift, and we appreciate your patience and positive attitude as we adjust together. Under the newly passed Texas law HB 1481, personal technology (phones, earbuds, smartwatches, etc.) must remain in your backpack for the entire school day—this includes:
- 🚫 Instructional time
- 🚫 Lunch
- 🚫 Passing periods
- 🚫 Advisory
If it’s out, we’re required to collect it, and consequences will follow for non-compliance.
While you may not all agree with the change, we’re committed to following the law and making sure our campus stays focused and productive. Our team is actively working with the district to enhance campus technology and support your academic success.
🚸SAFETY SYSTEMS - EXPECT DELAYS - KNOW THE PROCEDURE TO SPEED IT UP!
As we begin the school year, thank you for your patience and support while we adjust to our new safety systems. You’ll see more LCISD officers on campus—they’re here to assist with crowd control, not to cause concern. It will take extra time to enter the building during the first few days, so please expect delays. This applies every time students enter or re-enter the building, including after shuttles, appointments, etc.
To help speed things up, students should treat the process like TSA at the airport: make sure backpacks are free of prohibited B.L.U.E. items (check the flyer), place them on the table before walking through the screening device, and wear the backpack while walking through. If a prohibited item is found, students will need to go to the back of the line and try again. This helps build the habit the right way and keeps the line moving.
🚗Still Need a Parking Pass?
**IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN EMAIL STATING YOUR PARKING WAS APPROVED, YOU ARE NOT CLEARED TO DRIVE THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT IN THE LAST WEEK -IT WILL HAVE A DESIGNATED PARKING SPOT LISTED IN YOUR EMAIL - PLEASE PARK THERE- AND YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR PASS DURING LUNCH ON MONDAY.
Please ensure you have all the required documents ready to go and complete BOTH steps (application and payment). Parking passes are all done online!
You will need pictures of these 3 documents to upload and complete the process:
- Driver's License (no permits allowed - must be a driver's license)
- Insurance Card
- Screenshot of Completed Payment (QR code payment link included in the email)

🚪 Exterior Door Safety Reminder 🚪
To keep our campus secure, students may only enter through two designated exterior doors before school and during transition times. Staff will be stationed at these entrances to monitor:
- The Café entrance (used by students coming from the back lot, buses, and field house)
- The Front entrance (where I greet you each morning!)
Starting at 7:45 AM, all students must head directly to the Café. The gym exterior doors will remain closed to everyone except athletes with morning practice.
If you need to drop off dance clothes, athletic gear, or band instruments, please wait until the 8:15 bell to do so, and make sure you’re in class by 8:25 to avoid being marked tardy. You’ll have plenty of time—just stay focused and take care of business!
And one more important note: Never open exterior doors for anyone, even friends. Let’s all do our part to keep CFHS safe! 💙
As always, we are here to help! If you have questions AFTER READING THROUGH ALL THIS INFORMATION, please don't hesitate to reach out to your student's Assistant Principal for help! I have included their contact info below to make it easy for you!

REMINDER: 2025-2026 Student Transportation Form Submission
Dear Lamar CISD parents and guardians,
Please complete the required student transportation form before the start of the new school year. This form provides our transportation department with important information to organize bus routes for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
All students, no matter their form of transportation, must have a submission form completed by their parent or guardian before the start of the next school year.
Log into Family Access to fill out and submit the form. For more information and to access Skyward Family Access, visit LCISD.org/transportation. Please contact your student's campus with any questions.
|
As the 2025–2026 school year begins across the country, we want to remind everyone that the first few weeks can be busy and a little chaotic. With students, staff, and families all returning, traffic around campus—especially during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up—can be challenging. Please be patient and prioritize safety over speed. Rushing or driving recklessly puts everyone at risk, including your child. We recommend leaving a few minutes earlier than usual to allow for delays, and consider carpooling or using district transportation to help reduce congestion.
Buses will drop off behind the school, and those students will enter through the Cafeteria Entrance. Students dropped off in front of the school will enter through the Main Entrance.
Please note: only buses are allowed behind the school—the gate will be closed from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to ensure a safe and smooth start to the school year!

New Safety System Installed at All High Schools (LCISD Email Sent 8-1-2025)
Dear Lamar CISD Families,
Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and school community is paramount. As part of our ongoing efforts to create a safe learning environment for our students and staff, we are introducing a new safety measure for the upcoming school year.
Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, all high school campuses will implement the Evolv Express safety system—an advanced detection technology designed to enhance campus safety without disrupting the flow of the school day. This system allows students and visitors to walk through at a natural pace, reducing bottlenecks at entrances while helping our teams identify potential safety concerns quickly and accurately.
To prepare for this update, our campus administrators and the Lamar CISD Police Department participated in specialized training with the Evolv Technology team this summer.
What to Expect:
The Evolv Express system is designed to recognize everyday personal items such as backpacks, phones, watches, wallets, and keys—so students will NOT need to remove these as they enter the building. However, to ensure smooth passage, a few items will need to be taken out and passed separately through the system. To help students remember, we’re using the acronym B.L.U.E.:
-
Binders
-
Laptops *Students can’t use personal laptops during school hours and must follow the personal communication devices law (HB 1481).
-
Umbrellas
-
Eyeglass cases
We understand that any new process takes time to adjust to, and we’re here to support our students and families through this transition. This enhancement is one of many ways we are working to prioritize safety while maintaining the respectful, positive school culture that makes Lamar CISD so special.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support. We are thankful for our community's strength and unity in ensuring the safety and security of all our students. If you have any questions, please contact us at Info@LCISD.org.

Schedule for the First Day of School
Students will receive a copy of their schedule in their 1st period classroom. If you are a senior and have late arrival please report to the cafeteria to pick up your schedule.
📢📢Due to the new law, absolutely no phones are permitted inside the building (not even to check your schedule). You must write down your schedule or print out a copy and bring it with you tomorrow (Monday). Please ensure you know your 1st-period class, and we will provide another hard copy of your schedule there.
If a student happens to forget to bring their PRINTED/WRITTEN schedule, there will be signage placed OUTSIDE THE LGI, LIBRARY, and CAFE where they can find their 1st period classroom.
📢📢THERE WILL BE NO SCHEDULE CHANGES, ONLY CORRECTIONS FOR ONE OF THE 7 RESONS BELOW:
On Monday, counselors will be available in the library to assist new students .
According to the LCISD Course Catalog, the ONLY VALID REASON for a schedule correction include:
A. The student is a senior missing a required course for graduation
B. The student is scheduled in a course for which they’ve already earned credit
C. The student does not meet prerequisites for a scheduled class
D. The student previously failed a course with the same teacher
E. The student was removed from a program requiring special approval
F. The student does not have a complete schedule
G. Data error (e.g., duplicate classes, free period, etc.)
If a student has any other concern not listed above, they should follow the schedule they receive in 1st period on Monday.

July 10th LCISD Email - New Texas Law Restricting Personal Communication Devices Use During the School Day!
Dear Lamar CISD Families,
We want to make you aware of a new Texas law that will go into effect at the start of the 2025–2026 school year and directly impacts student use of personal communication devices during the instructional day.
During the 89th Texas Legislative Session, House Bill 1481 was passed into law. This bill prohibits students from using personal communication devices during the instructional school day and while on school property. Devices covered under this law include cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, radios, pagers, or any other electronic device capable of telecommunication or digital communication.
This law applies to all public and open-enrollment charter schools across Texas, including Lamar CISD. Importantly, exceptions are made for students with documented medical needs or special education accommodations, which will be addressed according to the appropriate plans and protocols.
What This Means for Lamar CISD Students (PK–12)
Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, Lamar CISD will implement the following practices in accordance with the new law:
- All personal electronic devices, including cell phones and smartwatches, must be turned off before entering campus.
- Devices must be stored in backpacks or lockers—not on the student’s person (e.g., clothing pockets)—and must remain powered off and completely out of view throughout the school day.
- Use or visible possession of any personal communication device during the school day will result in confiscation and disciplinary consequences.
This includes all areas inside the school building, such as:
- Classrooms
- Libraries
- Cafeterias
- Hallways
- Restrooms
- Locker rooms
- Any other common spaces
Devices may be turned back on only after the final bell at dismissal. At this time, students may use them to communicate with parents or guardians regarding transportation or other after-school needs.
Dismissal Times by Grade Level
-
Elementary A: 2:40 PM (7:15 AM – 2:40 PM)
-
Elementary B: 3:10 PM (7:45 AM – 3:10 PM)
-
Middle School / Junior High: 4:30 PM (9:05 AM – 4:30 PM)
-
High School: 3:50 PM (8:25 AM – 3:50 PM)
Please note: Receiving a call or text from a parent or family member during class is not an acceptable reason for device use. If you need to reach your child during the school day, please call the school’s front office, and we will ensure your message is delivered.
*If a student needs to make an emergency call during the day, they should report to the front office.
|
📬 Urgent Student Communication Protocol

ATTENTION CLASS OF 2026!
ALL CFHS CLASS OF 2025 STUDENTS MUST HAVE A SENIOR PORTRAIT TAKEN TO BE IN THE 2026 YEARBOOK AND IN THE SENIOR SLIDESHOW AT GRADUATION!
There is NO CHARGE for the yearbook/slideshow pose, but Seniors MAY order additional portrait packages from Cady Photography!
Students have 2 options to take their cap and gown picture:
Option 1: Sign Up and take picture onsite at Cady Location – Please use this link: cady.com/schedule
or
Option 2: Senior Roadshow on campus at CFHS 9/4/, 10/9, 11/6
FAQ:
What makes a senior photo different from the ones for underclassmen? Great question! Seniors are photographed in their graduation gown in front of a specially selected background.
What if being in the yearbook doesn’t matter to me? That’s fine. While a yearbook is a lasting historical record of the year, we understand that it’s not important to everyone. However, in addition to placing the senior portraits in the yearbook, we also provide them to the district for display at our graduation ceremony in May. If your child hasn’t taken their photo by the deadline, we won’t receive it for publication or distribution to the district for use at graduation.
When is the deadline (and what happens if I miss it)? The senior portrait deadline for the Class of 2026 is DECEMBER 5, 2025. If you miss the deadline, we will not receive your photo for publication or distribution to the district for use at graduation.
What if I want to take my portrait somewhere else? We are only able to use photographs sent to us by our official photography company, Cady Studios. We cannot accept or use photos from any other companies.
Why should I take my photos this summer? Senior year is a very busy year. Getting your portraits taken in the summer ensures that you already have one thing marked off of your to-do list before the year begins. Additionally, taking your photos at Cady’s studio ensures you access to more varied backgrounds and options and allows parents to be present to watch all of it.
Do we HAVE to take our pictures during the summer? Won’t there be some on-campus dates this year? We highly encourage you to take your photos this summer, because it will give you an overall better experience and we all tend to have a bit more flexibility in our schedules during the summer months. As we do every year, we will have three on-campus dates this year (Sept 4; Oct 9, Nov. 6), but - due to the large size of our graduating class - we will not be able to accommodate everyone during these dates. The on-campus dates fill up very quickly and only open for booking on the Cady website one month in advance. Booking during the summer ensures that you will not be caught up in the swell of people who put this off until the last minute.
